Agriculture is one of the driving forces of Midi-Pyrenees, the largest region in France, possessing a percentage of agricultural assets two times greater than the national average and a rural area covering 80% of its territory.
The region ranks eighth in France in terms of population, and the wealth produced ranks fourth in terms of public and private research, jobs and spending.
The AgriMip Sud-Ouest Innovation competitiveness cluster is based on these strong points in order to optimize the interaction of regional resources and skills.
