The flagship project of AgriMip Sud-Ouest Innovation is to unite players in the agricultural and agribusiness sectors of Midi-Pyrenees. This pivotal sector of the regional economy is the main source of jobs (100,000), and generates 5 billion euros of income while reaching a market of 19.6 million consumers.The AgriMip Sud-Ouest Innovation competitiveness cluster favors synergies and formalizes projects to create the dynamics for real growth. In 2008, the cluster had:
- 153 members: 106 companies, 19 research, technology transfer and training organizations, and 28 institutional members.
- 89 quality-label projects worth a total of 130.9 million euros
- 99 companies involved in innovative projects
