Projects supported by AgriMip Sud-Ouest Innovation are an integral part of the cluster’s strategy, involving three main development themes (analysis, process, markets/consumers) and coinciding with the agrichain approach.
Operational strategy for project management
AgriMip Sud-Ouest Innovation has developed an operational system to aid in financing projects, making it possible to generate innovations, while targeting them towards specific applications integrated into a coherent economic strategy. Basic, initially autonomous, research work is consequently channeled to applied research, with financing adapted to each phase of the project.
Pivotal programs to revitalize rural production
AgriMip Sud-Ouest Innovation seeks to set up pivotal programs designed to revitalize the development of rural areas and to capitalize on the products and traditional know-how of Southwestern France. Consequently, the purpose of the OVINDOC program is to enable the regional suckling-lambs sector to recapture 10% of market share over the next 15 years. The strategy which AgriMip Sud-Ouest Innovation has implemented to do so is based on the application of animal breeding and agronomic technologies, as well as on active genetics research.
