AgriMip Innovation has made design, application and control of new processes one of the major orientations of its strategy, to ensure the sustainability and competitiveness of production systems, while guaranteeing product characteristics.

Mastering innovative processes

Optimizing production of agri-resources depends on the use of processes which range from the gene level to agricultural systems.  The process orientation developed by AgriMip Innovation relies on diverse technologies: innovative physical or chemical processes, production and transformation bio-processes, gene technology and biotechnology (a driving force to enhance agri-chain competitiveness), technical itineraries and breeding systems.

Promoting food products

For the transformation of agricultural resources into food products, AgriMip Innovation identifies two levels of promotion to be developed, through:
  • Implementation of original recipes, which capitalize on the culinary heritage of southwestern France.
  • Research into processes which respect the "character" of products by emphasizing "soft", "clean," and "safe" technologies.

Positioning for the future -- extracting molecules of industrial interest

For non-food areas, the cluster is establishing a position in research aimed at identifying molecules and specific compounds which may have numerous industrial applications: packaging industries, agri-materials, energy, chemicals, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, etc.
AgriMip Innovation relies on competencies in agronomic engineering, and the mastery of technologies (green chemistry and white biotechnology) required for the extraction and use of molecules of industrial interest.
